It is thrifting without adding clutter to your space & without spending hours & hours trolling thrift stores.

Each piece from Big Bad Batch has been handpicked by me, Big Bad Wolf, affectionately known as Ricci Kalish Liedeman. Every piece on our site I would personally wear & many pieces I already have. Each garment has a name & story behind it & it’s Big Bad Batch’s love for community, fashion & Statement that will continue to act as our driving force.Our first wardrobe drop contains both thrifted & new pieces, all are internationally & locally sourced. The thrifted pieces I have collected over the last 13 years includes a few favourites that have come from fast fashion brands. These pieces I have held onto for years as I’ve yet to come across anything quite like them whether its silhouette, colour or fit. Thus, I want to share them with you.

Soon I will be dropping pieces by local designers, seamstresses & myself. My main aim with Big Bad Batch is for it to become your go-to rental store for everything that has been sustainably sourced & where up-cycled pieces sit side by side local designers, big & small.

Keeping it local, keeping it inclusive & making sure South Africans can afford to rent is what my love for fashion is about.

The community I have united over the years as Big Bad Wolf are the inspiration for BBB. You have granted me the privilege to truly BE who I am with your constant love & support.I have inadvertently created the community I always needed when growing up & that’s all thanks to you. Your likes, comments & more beautifully your DM’s have allowed me to meet & e-meet like-minded people from all over South Africa & the world.

Accept BBB as a thank you for all the beauty you have brought to my life. When choosing the garments, all of you have been at the forefront of my mind, anticipating that because I love it you will too. That will continue to be BBB’s ethos.

We don’t want to waste this beautiful community by doing ugly things, so our promise to you is our devotion to the circular economy.

As soon as a piece seems a little too loved, they will either be up cycled by my team of designers & seamstresses or offered to a Women’s charity like The Princess Project. Big Bad Batch is focused on community needs & wants that grow past the business & into the community at large.

BBB has also added ‘By Big Bad Wolf’ where you can book an hour consultation with me where I style Big Bad Batch’s garments alongside your own. Whether it be for a specific event, or simply the need for three extra looks to elevate & diversify your wardrobe without being wasteful, BBB’s aim is for your wardrobe & ours to be the best of friends. However, I cannot make everyone happy all at once, so please feel free to DM me @bigbadwolf_SA for any suggestions or questions.
